LGPS Central launches Client Advisory Function

LGPS Central has announced the launch of its Client Advisory Function, forming a key part of how the pool will deliver its Fit for the Future programme.

As part of this, it has put together a Client and Advisory Team – led by Trevor Castledine, who has been appointed chief client and advisory officer. This team will integrate client relationship management, strategic advice and client portfolio management to provide a more connected and responsive service to partner funds.

Castledine will lead a team made up of several individuals who have experience as consultants to the LGPS, including Louis-Paul Hill, formerly of Aon, and Russell Oades and Richard Lunt – both of whom joined the organisation from Hymans Robertson. All three have been appointed as partner fund client directors.

They will work alongside a client services team led by Cara Forrest – formerly of Mercer – which will continue to play a key role in day-to-day partner fund servicing. Mark Jessop, meanwhile, has been appointed internally from the investment operations function to be a part of the client portfolio management team.

Commenting on the news, Castledine said: “The creation of our Client Advisory Function is a significant step forward in strengthening how we serve our Partner Funds. It will enable us to deliver deeper insight, closer alignment and a strategic partnership approach with a focus on high quality, value-for-money services – all central to our Fit for the Future ambitions.”
