LPPI appoints new direct infrastructure leadership team
Published: November 5, 2025
Pool the Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI) has appointed a new direct infrastructure leadership team to “further strengthen” its infrastructure investment capabilities.
As part of this, Jonathan Ord has been promoted to head of infrastructure, having served as the pool’s head of investment since January last year. Ord will be responsible for leading the team, ensuring it continues to deliver strong outcomes across its portfolio.
Reflecting on the move, he said: “I’m proud to be able to take on the leadership of our direct infrastructure team at such an important stage in our growth.
“Over the past decade, we’ve built a reputation for disciplined investment, active management and long-term partnership.
“With this refreshed structure and the depth of expertise within our team, we’re well placed to build on that foundation by driving continued performance, expanding our reach and creating long-term value for our investors and the communities we serve.”
Daniel Hobson, meanwhile, will move from his position as head of infrastructure asset management to the newly created role of head of origination and execution, leading efforts to deliver new investment opportunities.
As part of this, he’ll oversee origination activity and strengthen engagement with external partners to build a robust investment pipeline.
The pool has also appointed a new head of value creation in the form of James Harraway, who brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in infrastructure investment and M&A and joins from mid-market infrastructure fund Infracapital, where he worked as managing director.
Looking at the appointments, LPPI chief investment officer Richard Tomlinson said: “These appointments mark an exciting new chapter for our direct infrastructure team.
“The team’s expertise and track record have been central to the success of our direct infrastructure portfolio, and this refined focus on origination and value creation will ensure we continue to deliver strong, sustainable returns for UK pension fund investors.
“We’re excited to welcome James and congratulate both Jonathan and Dan on their new roles.”
